Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County offers a unique partnership for individuals who are seeking to demonstrate responsibility and accountability to fulfill your Court Ordered Community Service. In order to assure a positive experience for both Staff and Volunteers, please read the following policy, program requirements and responsibilities.

Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County reserves the right to terminate agreement for court ordered community service at will Habitat for Humanity expects the same standards of professional work, punctuality and appropriate behavior representing Habitat's mission and image in the community from any Court Ordered Community Service Volunteer as it does from Staff. Any unproductive, disruptive, or in any other way negative behavior that impacts the accomplishment of the daily goals will result in termination.
- No Felonies of any kind
- Applicant must be 18 years of age and have a valid ID.
- Minimum of 20 hours of court appointed community service hour requirements.
- For all court ordered service volunteers, we required a criminal background check be performed. All volunteers are evaluated independently as to their background and the volunteer opportunities we offer.
- All applicants must submit the completed Court Ordered Community Service Application and email to: Volunteer@hfhboca.org for review. Plan for 1 to 2 weeks for review. If the application is approved, the applicant will be notified via email and will be eligible to begin volunteer work.
REQUIREMENTS
- Once approved to complete hours, the applicant must register as a Volunteer.
- Applicant must then sign up for the assigned individual volunteer shifts using the Volunteer Opportunity Calendar.
- Applicant is responsible for signing in and out during your volunteer shift at the site. Habitat for Humanity is not responsible for hours not logged or not signed in using the on-line sign in.
- Any volunteer hours completed prior to approval will not be counted towards required hours.
- When applicant has completed required hours, applicant must submit a Community Service Letter Request. This may take up to 1 to 2 weeks to process once the request is received via email.
