DONATIONS AMBASSADOR/LEAD DRIVER
Description: The Donation Ambassador performs general driver duties as assigned, primarily the pickup and delivery of donated items at donor's homes and commercial locations. The Donations Ambassador is a primary liaison with the donating community alongside the driving assistant. Position requires a responsible, accountable, consistently punctual, tactful and a confident communicator with interpersonal skills. Able to lift/move objects over 75 lbs. with driving assistant's help. Clean driving record required. Possess supervisory abilities, knowledge of retail or non-profit work environment, a professional demeanor, an understanding of Habitat for Humanity's mission and a desire to promote it.

NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION COORDINATOR:
Reports to: Neighborhood Revitalization Director

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Managing direct reports and various components of Neighborhood Revitalization to support the affiliate’s vision of deepening community impact
- Work closely with the Family Services, Construction, and Development Teams and volunteers to best meet the needs of the targeted neighborhoods
- Unite with communities in their revitalization efforts by increasing resident interaction and participation in community planning
- Ensure all projects are properly documented and files are accurately updated
- Document project progress through reports and photographs
- Close out NR files upon project completion
- Maintain affiliate guidelines regarding records retention of NR files
- Track and maintain project data including demographics to report for quarterly and annual reports
- Coordinate work scheduling between NR team, homeowner, and contractors
- Apply for permitting, as required
- Create and sustain strong working partnerships with other members of the team (Family Services, Construction, Development Teams and volunteers) and contribute to Habitat SPBC’s culture of teamwork and collaboration
- Participate in training activities, seminars, conference calls, webinars, etc. necessary to improve the affiliate’s NR activities
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in roles of increasing responsibility and leadership for organizations, or equivalent experience and education
- In-depth understanding of gathering and reporting on quantitative and qualitative research
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Home construction knowledge along with the ability to effectively estimate home repair needs/costs
- Demonstrated high level of adaptability to effectively manage diverse, changing and even competing task expectations
- Ability to work respectfully, courteously and with a positive attitude when dealing with volunteers, staff, residents and community partners
- Exhibit a great attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Specific attention on relationship building within the focus neighborhoods served by Habitat SPBC
NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION LABORER:

- Performs all hands-on revitalization tasks as directed by the NR Coordinator
- Assists in job site activities on each designated workday and works to ensure project is accomplished
- Assists with homeowner warranty complaints and repairs
- Train Homeowners and crew leaders on jobsite to ensure volunteers have a positive experience
- Maintain quality of repairs in accordance with local, state, federal, and Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County building standards
- Maintains Habitat equipment and materials
- Must always provide a safe working environment by abiding by all Habitat for Humanity South Palm Beach County, OSHA, and EPA safety standards
- Ability to positively engage, teach and lead volunteers in tasks to complete projects
- Ability to collaborate with sub-contractors, enforcement officials, homeowners and vendors
- Ability to work respectfully, courteously and with a positive attitude when dealing with volunteers, staff, residents and community partners
- Ensure all supplies are at the jobsite for a successful volunteer experience
- Knowledge and experience in minor home repairs
- Work will require climbing ladders, considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions
- Ability to work outside for extended periods of time during all months of the year
- Ability to maneuver over uneven ground

- Ability to work in tight confines
- Ability to perform all required on-site labor associated with house repair and revitalization
- Power washing, Exterior painting, Minor soffit and fascia repair, Update interior/exterior lighting, install grab bars, Install transition/mobility ramps
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Light carpentry skills
- Ability to use pressure washer
- Ability to use small tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
CONSTRUCTION LABORER:
Reports to: Construction Superintendent
Description: This position assists in all aspects of construction

Responsibilities:
- Performs all hands-on construction tasks as directed by the Construction Superintendent
- Assists in the supervision of all site preparation and layout
- Assists in job site activities on each designated workday and works to ensure construction is accomplished
- Works with crew leaders, volunteers and partner families on construction tasks
- Assists with homeowner warranty complaints and repairs
- Assists in the training of all volunteers
- Maintain quality of construction in accordance with local, state, federal, and Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County building standards
- Maintain Habitat equipment and materials
- Must provide a safe working environment at all times by abiding by all Habitat for Humanity South Palm Beach County, OSHA, and EPA safety standards
- Must communicate effectively with sub-contractors, enforcement officials, building standards/zoning officials, Habitat homeowners, and vendors
- Knowledge and experience in construction
- Work will require climbing ladders and scaffolding, considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions.
- Ability to work outside for extended periods of time during all months of the year

Responsibilities:
- Pickup of various donated items that are sold in the Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County ReStores
- Load and unload ReStore box trucks, following all safety guidelines
- Perform daily vehicle inspection, thoroughly fill out daily paperwork, communicate daily with the Dispatch Coordinator
- Ensure ReStore policies and procedures regarding guidelines of acceptable vs. unacceptable donations are adhered to
- Assist with organization of donated items in receiving, on sales floor, and in sorting areas to ensure orderly maintenance of these areas while not driving truck
- Assist with floor maintenance, housekeeping and furniture placement while not driving the truck
- Assist in defusing challenging situations with tact and an ability to turn a negative situation into a positive one
- Adhere to all driver policies as set forth by Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County
- Demonstrate familiarity with the South Florida area and suburbs
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of general truck maintenance
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively work with donors, volunteers, and staff
- High School diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Prior experience driving a box truck preferred (No CDL license requirements)
- Climbing, jumping, lifting, carrying (minimum 50lbs. multiple times per day).
- Maneuvering, navigating, and driving large box trucks up to 26'
DRIVER'S ASSISTANT/FLOOR STAFF
Responsibilities:
- Assist Driver with directions and answer all incoming cell calls when vehicle is in motion
- Perform daily moving material checks
- Plan pick-up routes accordingly based on time allotted
- Make calls to donors prior to donation pickups
- Clearly and professionally communicate on the phone with donors
- Schedule lunch breaks
- Pack truck correctly and according to safety guidelines
- Communicate to Dispatch Coordinator with any pickups that need to be rescheduled
- Assist Driver in morning routine of tuck inspection
- Follow donation guidelines throughout pickups
- When in question, send pictures of donation and call Dispatch Coordinator or Dispatch Assistant to verify
- Assist Driver in cleaning the truck at the end of the day
- Help maintain the vehicles, including maintenance, as needed
- Guide driver in & out of all pickup/drop-off locations and in tight driving areas
- Clean restrooms daily
- Adhere to all safety rules, safety procedures and keep safe zones clear when not in use
- Follows directions from the Dispatch Coordinator and Driver (if acting as assistant driver)
